left alone

i am drawn to many of the places i have been to in my life – but it is always exiting to get to know new countries. Iceland combined breathtaking landscape with abandoned objects that were left alone decades ago or that just arose from forces of nature. comparable to the isolated places i visited during my trip to the USA, the sceneries were often entirely shaped by erosion. traces of degradation found on every object stimulate your imagination about what might have happened in the past. but the true story often remains hidden and secret.
